Kate Shaw, Psy.D., LCP

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Director, Insight Psychological Services
IPS is owned and operated by Dr. Kate Shaw. Dr. Shaw was born and raised in Stafford County and attended Stafford High School. She completed her B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia, her M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Old Dominion University, her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology, and her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Houston. She has been practicing in Stafford since 2010. Dr. Shaw conducts diagnostic assessments for children and adults ages 4+ for a wide variety of concerns, including ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and trauma. Dr. Shaw sees clients in both the Stafford and King George locations.

Kristin Braun LPC, NCC, CADC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Ms. Braun earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2015 from Wilmington University in Dover, Delaware. She moved to Fredericksburg to continue to pursue her career working with person’s struggling with addiction and mental health concerns. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the state of Virginia. She also certified drug and alcohol counselor (CADC). Kristin has been working with co-occurring disorders since starting her career in 2011. She has extensive experience in working with in Medicated- Assisted Treatment (MAT) facilities in Delaware and Virginia. Kristin started working in the Mental Health field in 2018 where she provided individual and group services for persons with a variety of mental health concerns. Furthermore, she has gained experience and training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), a treatment specialized in treating Borderline Personality Disorder. Today, she provides individual services to adults and adolescents via telehealth.

In Kristin’s practice and personal life, she has found that humans heal and grow through improving their relationship with themselves often times with self- compassion, love and acceptance. Kristin finds herself, at times, conceptualizing how human’s think, feel, and behave from a cognitive and holistic perspective. In her personal life she enjoys practicing yoga, running half-marathons, traveling/exploring new places, and doing anything to keep her Labrador Charlie, happy!

Debbi Carver, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Ms. Carver has a keen interest in working with couples. She also treats adolescents and families with a variety of concerns, and provides faith-based counseling. She sees clients in-person and via telehealth at the Stafford location.

Stephen C. Combs, LPC, NCC, CCTP

Licensed Professional Counselor

Stephen C. Combs, LPC, NCC, CCTP is a Board Certified and Licensed Professional Counselor. Mr. Combs is a Marine Corps veteran of the Persian Gulf War, and a veteran’s advocate in Washington, D.C. He is recognized by several colleges and universities to provide clinical supervision to student Counseling Interns and is approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling to provide supervision to Residents in Counseling. He is accepting new interns and residents. Stephen joined the Marines in January 1986 where he served honorably for eight years, the first four as an Infantryman, the second four working in the logistics office of an Infantry Battalion. He served with the 6th Marine Regiment in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during the first Gulf War and was honorably discharged in 1994. Stephen has nearly three decades of professional experience advocating for the men and women who served, since 2017 has been the non-affiliated member (i.e., community member not employed by the facility) on the Washington DC VA Medical Center’s Institutional Review Board, and effective from September 24, 2019 through October 30, 2023, was appointed by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to sit on the VA Geriatric and Gerontology Advisory Committee (GGAC). His service on the GGAC has been extended for the period of October 2023 to October 2027 when it will terminate due to committee term limits.

Stephen joined the staff at Insight Psychological Services in January 2017 where he sees a variety of clients, but due to his other activities in the veteran community is only available on Fridays for counseling appointments. He is recognized by most insurance companies, including Tricare, and accepts self-pay clients at the usual IPS rates, but does offer a sliding scale when necessary. A majority of his clients are, or have been, active-duty military and veterans who specifically sought out Stephen because of his experiences similar to their own, and they felt more comfortable in discussing their military trauma(s) and service-related stressors with someone that can relate to military life. He does not have the training and certifications necessary to see clients whose primary issue involves substance abuse/addiction. Mr. Combs sees clients in-person on Fridays at the Spotsylvania location and sees clients from all across Virginia via telehealth.

Donna DePalma, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Ms. DePalma has 30 years of experience as a licensed social worker and mental health therapist. She provides services for adults over 21 years of age through the geriatric population with diagnoses to include: anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief and loss. She has over 25 years of specializing in traumatic brain injury due to motor vehicle accidents falls/ accidents and acquired brain injury, and related PTSD.Ms. DePalma sees clients via telehealth.

Rachel Donnelley-Morrison, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Ms. Donnelley-Morrison provides individual therapy for adult clients in the Stafford office. She sees clients both in-person and via telehealth.

Amber Dorsey, Psy.D., LCP

Dr. Dorsey conducts diagnostic assessments for children and adults ages 4+ for a variety of concerns, including ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. She sees clients in the King George location.

Katherine Guevara Orgeron, Psy.D., J.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Guevara Orgeron is a licensed psychologist and attorney who primarily conducts diagnostic evaluations. She evaluates individuals ages 7+ and also completes court-ordered diagnostic evaluations and immigration evaluations. Dr. Orgeron is fluent in Spanish and sees clients at the Stafford office.

Dr. Hanna provides individual therapy for clients ages 15+ via telehealth.

Ms. Holowchuk sees clients in-person at the Stafford and Spotsylvania locations. She works with clients ages 12+ with a variety of presenting concerns.

Melissa Keylor, LPC, CSAC

Certified Substance Abuse Counselor

Ms. Keylor believes in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. After over 20 years of working as a therapist, she has developed a genuine and straightforward approach in which she develops a sincere connection with her clients. This is of utmost importance to her. She has broad and extensive work experience ranging from inpatient mental health to methadone clinics to private practice. She enjoys working with many different populations, including teenagers, adults, and groups. She conducts individual therapy with adolescents and adults, and has particular expertise with substance abuse and anger management. She also provides faith-based counseling. She sees clients in-person and via telehealth at the Stafford and Spotsylvania locations.

Yolanda Lane, M.A., LPC

Through the latest research, education and my passion, I help individuals ages 15+ return control and happiness to their life.  As a graduate from Liberty University, with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, I embrace a holistic approach to dealing with the wounds experienced during life's seasons.  I have found that a positive home environment begins with a healthy self and healthy boundaries. I wisely use an integrative approach to meet the individual needs of clients, while incorporating evidence-based interventions, which are visual and hands-on (IMPACT Therapy) in nature. As an LPC at Insight Psychological Services, I strive to provide clients with a safe environment in which proactive thinking skills are developed.  It is my desire for clients to gain a new outlook on life, gain a deeper inner connection with who they are, and overall to live, laugh, and love again. I see clients in the King George location in-person and via telehealth.

Erica McTeer, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Ms. McTeer sees clients via telehealth on Saturdays. She works with clients ages 18+ and enjoys working with those struggling with severe mental illness. 

Tanya Price, M.A.

Doctoral Intern

Ms. Price is a doctoral intern who conducts psychological evaluations for clients ages 4+ at the Stafford office. Tanya has a kind and approachable demeanor and works well with clients of a variety of ages and presenting concerns. 

Allison Rozewicz, M.A., LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Mrs. Rozewicz provides individual and family therapy for clients ages 12+. She also works with Dr. Shaw conducting psychological assessments. She has years of experience working in community mental health and providing a variety of services including case management, intensive in-home, and therapeutic day treatment in the schools. Mrs. Rozewicz has a passion for working with adolescents as well as blended families, and can also provide faith-based counseling services. She sees clients at the Stafford and King George locations in-person and via telehealth.

Janice Shabe, Ph.D., LCP

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Janice M. Shabe was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Maryland. She has held residency in Virginia since 1995. Professionally she has provided clinical services in the public health arena for over 25 years with over 10 years working with military personnel. Within civilian sector, Janice has held myriad of positions where she provided services to vulnerable individuals; either due to mental illness and/or circumstances. Her early years focused on providing services to at risk children (e.g., HIV+, drug-addicted, and/or mentally ill caregivers). Her interest expanded to serious mentally ill individuals and forensic psychology. As a Psychologist, she worked at a community based clinic to offer individual, family, and group services as well as forensic evaluations (e.g., Competence, Mental State, Custody, Substance, etc.). She enjoys developing and facilitating psycho-educational groups (e.g., Anger Management). Currently, she sees adults for individual therapy. She also conducts diagnostic assessments for ages 8+. Dr. Shabe is Licensed in Commonwealth of Virginia as Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Social Worker. She sees clients in the Stafford location.
